New commercial partner for the Netherlands: Allied Data!
Bausch Datacom will cooperate with the Dutch company Allied Data to sell PSTN modems of the Bausch brand. Aim is to incorporate the long history of PSTN modem experience and market share of Allied Data into the Bausch Datacom portfolio. Bausch Datacom will propose alternatives to the End Of Life Tron PSTN modems. The Bausch Datacom PSTN modems are available at Bausch Datacom or Allied Data in the Netherlands.
Allied Data Technologies International BV has a long and successful history in data communications stretching over twenty-five years. Originally founded as Tron, the company was one of the earliest developers of analog modems for dial-up and leased-line communications. Later, Allied Data Technologies International BV worked with the world's leading chip designers and created the original reference designs for the first DSL modems that became the foundation for most modem designs produced by manufacturers today.

Allied Data's Tron DF 56 (TRO-DFTBE560-CL) - being one of the most reliable analog modems in it's time - will be made available again by a portfolio of similar Bausch modems. Bausch Datacom proposes PSTN alternatives for the PSTN Tron modems such as the industrial InduBox PSTN (485), DinBox PSTN 485 SIA DINrail modems or the Proxima desktop modems. These modems are based on socket or Imod modules developed in-house.

Alarm protocols such as SIA, contact ID are supported by the SM_H2_V socket modems, Imod modules or external DinBox PSTN 485 SIA, Proxima V.92 SIA or InduBox PSTN modems. Specific applications such as reverse dialing, Baudrate changing, leased line a.o are supported or can be developed by the in-house engineering of Bausch Datacom.
Especially, the Bausch SM_H2 Socket Module is a V.92 (56K) PSTN modem based on Conexant Technology. This module is ideal for embedded medical, metering and alarm applications since it offers very low operating power requirements, a small board space, a worldwide compliance and a 3 kV dielectric withstanding voltage. Specifically for alarm applications it supports the SIA alarm protocol and contact ID.
The product can be provisioned for applications ranging from system monitoring and reporting to answering inbound calls with voice responses (for example SIA protocol for alarm equipment with voice listen-in applications -speakerphone functionality-).
Industrial temperature ranges (-40° - 80°) are available on special request.
