Join us at ENLIT Milan - 22th - 24th October! Booth 5E61!
Booth 5E61
Belgian company Bausch Datacom teams up with its German sister companies Ritter Starkstromtechnik and Ritter Technologie (and Sunified) at the Enlit fair in Milan - Booth 5E61 - proposing hardware and software for Smart Metering, Grid Communication and Monitoring. Whereas Bausch Datacom features its RTU DinBox RTU Q7/SL+, Rittec will present the DEMAS Management tool to control the infrastructure in the field.
Tokenization of decentralized energy data
The Ritter group will be featuring a demo for the tokenization of decentralized green energy data. This will allow the possibility to identify decentralized produced energy (KWh, Date, Power data...) and use this identification for finetuning the outlet performance of solar parks, making data available for the balancing of the net, allowing shared energy applications and many new business models. Ritter Technologie, Bausch Datacom and Sunified have joined their forces to make the necessary instrumentarium to make all the new developments in the Decentralized Green Energy production revolution happen, available in Q4 2024.
In order to deliver tokenized data to backoffices and dashboards for different services, basic technology are sensors capable of measuring, encrypting and communicating through Bluetooth (Wirepass - meshed - for backup) and gateways capable of receiving the data, labelling it and sending it completely secured (VPN IPsec...) through various protocols (MQTT, IEC 60870-5_104 ...) to the required endpoints. All this technology will be offered by Sunified and the Ritter Group.
DENYSE Eurostars Eureka Funding program
Bausch Datacom is part of a consortium that in the framework of European funding program Eurostars will be designing and setting up pilot projects with different tokenization applications in Europe. Pilot projects will be mounted in private or public Infrastructures in Oberhausen (Germany), the island of Ameland (The Netherlands) and various islands in Italy. Bausch Datacom (booth 5E61) is responsable for the Gateways, Sunified & 2TokensStichting (Booth 5A40) for the Unity chip, Fluid and Zaisan for dashboard software and blockchain interfacing, Rittec (Booth 5E61) for the firmware and management system of the gateways.
High-end security NIS2 proof gateways & DEMAS platform
The productline DinBox RTU Q7/SL+ and DeMaS tool is especially conceived to facilitate all kinds of applications offering a very powerful Remote Terminal Unit with Docker & IPV6 based firmware to equip large infrastructures of remote terminal units in MV (10-36kV) / LV ((230V) transformer stations. Monitoring the Grid requires a flexible system that can last years and this starts with EDGE platforms (Remote Terminal Units) in the field and a management tool ready to be upgraded when new evolutions occur.
Our Management System and firmware of the devices in the field are conceived to use the most modern IT software available at each moment. The DinBox RTU Q7/SL+ integrates SCADA protocolling such as IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850 and diverse other protocols such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, MQTT and others. The devices and its platform are conceived out of an ISO:27001 and NIS2 concept.
Belgian operators Fluvius and RESA choose DB RTU Q7/SL+ and DEMAS platform for their infrastructure!
In 2025-2026, Belgian network operator Fluvius, convinced of the high-end security and asset management advantages of the DEMAS platform will be installing around 8.500 units governed by the DEMAS platform through a special commissioning system, allowing swift and highly secured installation.
The main application is a Modbus RTU/IEC 60870-5-104 mapping of measuring devices Compass A & B and Gossen Metrawatt A2000. The measured parameters are voltage, current, active and reactive power, harmonic currents and for the KSVs short circuit as an indication. The measurements are indicators for dynamic load flow on medium voltage and view of low voltage (impact of PV, wind, EV, batteries)
