iLumen, Belgian spin-off of Futech, manufacturer of solar panels, orders a first batch of 750 pieces of Bausch Datacom pulsecounter hardware. The product is tuned specifically for the PV market by Bausch Datacom and Futech. Futech is one of the leading PV solar system manufacturers and installers in Belgium. The company installs for private as well as business customers. iLumen will sell the product dedicated for the PV solar panel market in Belgium and abroad under the name Lumibox.

Better Service for solar panel users:
The Lumibox, unique Belgian high-end pulse counter, aims to offer a better service to Futech's customers by checking the solar panel production counted by the ‘green energy meters'. The Lumibox will be connected to the green energy meter and will count pulses. This means a much more accurate measurement without discrepancies. The measurements will be used to inform the VREG*. iLumen will thus be able to give more detailed info on production and consumption of the electricity of it's customers. Power failures of the installations can be detected and notified by SMS and FTP alarms.

GPRS Pulse count logger and communication device:
The Lumibox logs the pulse count and sends the information to the backoffice (GPRS to FTP server) of iLumen. Once every 2 hours, a message is sent which contains the following information: total cumulative pulse count at the start of that 2 hour period, totals for the 8 periods of 15 minutes during that 2 hour period, information about the counters provided, such as date and time... The Lumibox is also able to send an alarm by SMS and FTP in case of power failure.

The ‘Lumibox' - is connected to the green meter and logs the pulse count and sends the information to the backoffice (GPRS to FTP server) of iLumen.
