DinBox RTU SL 104: IEC 60870-5-104 micro RTU's for MV/LV substations
The DinBox RTU SL 104 is a micro GPRS RTU, tailor made for alarming (and monitoring) applications. Typical MV/LV substation alarming and monitoring events can be communicated by the RTU. More and more DSO's are looking at costeffective solutions for their MV/LV substation monitoring. Ores, Infrax, AIEG in Belgium and SIG (Genève) and Lausanne in Switserland are the first DSO's to test and implement this new approach.

Main application
The main mission of the DinBox RTU SL is to maintain the GPRS (3G) communication between a IEC-60870-5-104 Master environment (SCADA) and all kind of event measurements in the MV/LV grid. The product can interface through the Modbus protocol all kind of Power Quality or other sensor devices and or communicate alarming events. It is a powerfull tool in upgrading all kinds of devices to a IEC 60870-5-104 environment. The DinBox RTU SL 104 offers GPRS communication (Sierra Wireless SL 6087 module), IEC 60870-5-104 slave functions, 8 Digital inputs, 2 digital outputs and 2 analog 12 bit inputs. The inputs are galvanically isolated and the device can be powered by a wide range AC power supply or a DC version. Also the device has a slot for Memory flash cards and a possibility of Supercap backup. All in all, a pretty complete solution for basic MV/LV substation automation and communication.
